Address by the President

Dear Athletes and Coaches, In 2022 we founded the sports club “Leon”, we want our club to become a leader in aquatic sports in Georgia.

Our goal is to educate young sportsmen and help raise the level of qualification of already formed athletes.

We can offer endurance and strength endurance training for an athlete engaged in any other type of sports activites.
For this we have all the means:

• The club is located in Poti, Maltakva district, by the River Kaparchina, which allows us to train all year round, winter-summer. River Kaparchina is a traditional place where great athletes of the Soviet Union were training themselves.
• We have our territory, elling, modern boats, cutters for coaches, oars
• We have a gym hall, dining room and hotel, where we can accommodate athletes for assembling, both as a team and individually.
• We have experienced coaches working for us: Roland Koepke (Germany) and Yuri Bondarenko (Ukraine), whose trained athletes have won numerous award-winning places at prestigious world competitions.

I am sure that in the future the sports club “Leon” will lead many athletes to the world arena and make famous our city.
